Bria先生の自己紹介です

Hello, everyone at Higashi Junior High School!

My name is Bria Hemphill. I am a teacher from New York, USA.

I am the ALT at Higashi Junior School this year!

I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself.

(1)--I love music!

In univsersity, I studied Music Education, so I can play many instruments! My favorite instrument to play is the flute!

I love the sound of Japanese string instruments, like the sanshin and the koto!

(2)--I lived in South Korea!

I taught English on Jeju Island in South Korea for two years. 

I enjoyed teaching English with many different types of learners!

(3)-- This is my 3rd year in Japan!

I have taught at 8 elementary and junior high schools here in Matsuyama City.

I have also enjoyed a variety of cultural activities, like summer festivals, a traditional instrument and culturel class,visiting smaller towns around Ehime and Matsuyama Castle!

I am most looking forward to Sports Day and assisting with the exchange program next month. I have really enjoyed my time the students and staff of Higashi Junior High so far!
